Scripps Beach, San Diego, CA

Scripps Beach - Best Drone Vacations

Scripps Beach is a picturesque beach in the greatest US City, San Diego. The massive pier juts into the water offering drone pilots ample opportunities for stunning footage. The beach is nearly a mile long stretching from the La Jolla cliffs to Blacks Beach.

Pro Tip: Arrive in the evening when the crowds thin out and the sun is setting for the best footage.

Also consider: While in the area be sure to check out the Birch Aquarium, a fascinating and easily accessible stop that’s just minutes from Scripps Beach.

Charleston South Carolina

Charleston is the oldest city in South Carolina and is rich in pirate history. It’s also a great location to take your drone. Much of the airspace is Class G uncontrolled and nicely accessible to drone pilots.

Be sure to consult local laws when flying your drone in Colorado. There’s a few unique regulations to consider which you can read about here. Keep in mind that Colorado regulations prohibit flying your drone in state parks with a few exceptions. Flying your drone in Colorado also requires you to register your drone which you can do here (for a small fee).
